Napping on Sunday

After church I always remember Mom and Dad watching golf and both falling asleep about 1 hour into it.. Weekly napping tradition I think!

Loud on the golf course

Some of my favorite moments ever with dad were when we would play in best ball golf tournaments wherever we were like San Diego or Bakersfield etc.. Sometimes with Dave, sometimes with George and Sat etc..

But Dad would always sink these monster 90 foot putts for birdie and then let out a hulking celebration scream and run over and hug all of us.. Everyone else on the golf course would hear and they would all look over.. Hilarious! He would get everyone pumped up too..

Eating in components

Not sure if we wrote this one down yet.. Dad coming home for lunch and would get out all the lunch stuff but not put it together so like bread, meat, piece of cheese, all separate on the plate.. Thought he was nutso.. Also he would jump in the pool at lunch time in the summer when it was super hot in Bako.

Mints!

I was unwrapping a 'Rolaids' the other day that are in these packages that look like mints, and it totally brought me waaay back to dad and his mints at church. Remember how he would always have mints or stop to buy them on the way to church? lol. I can still taste the minty flavour..

Johhny 5 is Alive!

Do you remember Dad's 'Short Circuit' sayings? "Nooo disassemble..." then he would do his little laugh afterward.. he he he

Mixing the yogurt

With the fruit on the bottom yogurt's, dad would always push just a little bit of the fruit up and then start eating it already before mixing it.. It would be mostly vanilla with a little bit of fruit.. I always thought that was so weird but now I'm starting to do it a bit too..

I'm also eating in components a little bit more and eating the butt of the bread, yum..

that's my girl!

one of the things i miss the most about dad is him saying, "that's my girl!" or "that's my danny girl". I remember him saying that when I used to do sports, or just whenever he wanted to show me off to other people. awww. miss u dad!!
