Oil Changes

I was always concerned about Damien's car care abilities. I had the "fortune" to have owned a series of junkers on my own, so I always forced the mechanics to explain to me what they were doing, what that car part did, and how and why it broke. I was too scared to get ripped off, so I figured if they explained it to me, then they were less likely to be dishonest.

So then I start dating Damien, who doesn't seem overly alarmed when the entire back-end of his car wobbles when he comes to a stop. I did not understand this.

Fast-forward to when I met Doug and Rose. And Doug immediately puts Damien's car up on lifts and starts tuning it up. I remember thinking how lucky Damien was to have a dad who would fix his cars! There was a weird squeak it was making, and I said, "Maybe it's the CV Boot". And Doug was SO EXCITED that I knew just a little bit about cars. Later that day, I was sitting on the floor of the garage while Doug was narrating exactly what he was doing during his oil change and Rose hollered from the kitchen for Doug to stop boring me with car stuff.
